The Goodyear Elementary School project included the construction of a new 67,000 square-foot building in Woburn, MA. Gilbane Building Company served as the general contractor for the project, which began in 2009 and was completed prior to the start of the school year in 2011. The newly constructed building took the place of an older school, which was demolished at the project’s start. The school now holds classrooms for students in kindergarten through Grade 5 and was part of a larger plan to modernize the city’s schools. Founded in 1873, Gilbane is one of the largest family-owned firms in the industry.
“From managing the projects and supervising operations in the field, to every man on their staff, for that matter, I know that I can count on P.J. Kennedy & Sons to get the project done right, to quickly address any issues or to even provide technical advice when I have a need. That commitment and dedication is very important to every one of us in this business.”
